Some members have been concerned that they may have less control over their bookings since FreetoBook is an automated booking process. In particular:
- They may have a taken another booking (from another booking site or by email) whilst a user is making a booking using FreetoBook.
- They like to contact their visitors before accepting a booking to ensure they are offering the best possible service.
The Terms and Conditions on the FreetoBook site has the following.
Each property sets their own booking policy which you will see clearly when you go to make a booking. When you make your booking you are entering a contract directly with the property and you will need to agree their terms and conditions before you can complete the booking. Please note our members are small businesses processing bookings in good faith and using mainly manual systems. Your booking is not fully confirmed until the Member has reverted to you with his acceptance and the deposit or balance payment, as appropriate, has been received.
We recommend that you add a similar statement in the Additional Check In Notes under Profile – Info at the bottom of the page and this will be displayed to any user making a booking.
