Brief experience: David is the owner of David Broadbent Photography – commercial and editorial photography; Owner of Forest of Dean School of Photography; Owner of WyeDean Deli Confidential – on line magazine which champions WyeDean food and drink; Owner of Steampunk Confidential – online Steampunk magazine; Photography tutor in residence at Wye Valley Arts Centre and, Board member of Open Studios – Free summer Arts event.
He has a long history in photography, he is a member of the Canon Professional Network, a founding contributor to the RSPB Images picture Agency and his work in other areas is represented worldwide by the Alamy picture agency. He has experience in business development and startups particularly in sole trader and small business sectors.

Reasons for being a board member: David has the relevant skills to assist the board in the change and professionalism to limited company with robust practices and processes. During his current tenure, he has scoped and designed the WVFDTA Image Library (and currently maintains the collection) so that high quality images are available to members as a member benefit; he has also mapped the future expansion of the library for the benefit of members and external customers. He maintains engagement with relevant business groups in the WyeDean area, and is interested in both the growth and development of the organisation and the promotion of tourism.
