Below you will find details of forthcoming meetings – put these in your diary now.
The most important Member Meeting of the year will be held at Forest Hills Golf Club, Coleford, on Thursday 5 December from 11.00 to 13.00.
If you are passionate about your tourism business, want to know what your Tourism Association has planned for 2020 and what its effect on your business will be, then join us for exciting news, updates and a review of our latest campaign “Leaf Peepers Welcome”.
Your volunteer Board of Directors has worked hard behind the scenes for several months and recently agreed a new vision and targets to increase visitors numbers, and visitor spend, across the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.
Hear first hand from expert tourism consultant, Kelly Ballard, who the Board has hired to support them on the drive to boost our collective business interests.
There are big changes planned and Kelly will join us to outline new plans for membership fees, marketing and our organisational structure.
- Ruth Waycott from Wye Valley AONB will explain the Gilpin 2020 plans, which celebrate 250 years of the Wye Valley Tour
- Sarah Orchard will reveal the results of “Leaf Peepers Welcome”
- Updates from members.
We would like to encourage members to give a brief update on their business at future meetings. Two minutes maximum – who you are, what you do, challenges, news, etc. We have time for 4 or 5 updates – let us know if you would like to do this.
This Members Meeting will be the last time this year to network with fellow members, likeminded tourism businesses who are always looking to work with each other to boost their businesses.
The event is free, but we ask you to register so we can plan seating and refreshments.
