What is Footgolf?

From Alison Breton at Forest Hills Golf Club.

Just to let you know our NEW Attraction, Footgolf is up and ready to go.  Footgolf is a game that mixes football with golf (surprise surprise). You kick a football from tee to green and into a football size hole. The fewest kicks around the course wins.  The best thing about it is that a massive range of ages and abilities can enjoy it, from youngsters to oldies like me! No football boots  – just come in trainers, golf shoes or astro shoes.  Our course is not overly long and takes between 45 minutes and an hour to play. You don’t need to book unless you are bringing a group, although anyone is welcome to call and check no group is booked when they want to come.

Members of the Tourism Association are welcome to come and try the course free of charge so they can recommend it to visitors. Please let me know you are coming by emailing me ( or calling 01594 810620. Please also call Alison for details of group bookings.  If anyone would like leaflets I have them now in stock although we are sending leaflets out via Glide and local Tourism Leaflets distribution services.  We look forward to seeing you.

Charity Golf Day

Alison Breton at Forest Hills Golf Club is running a Golf Day in aid of Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday July 2nd.  Further details.  Alison’s father sadly died of the disease last year despite being a healthy weight, eating well and playing badminton 3 times a week!  If you wish to take part, or know anyone who plays – please join in – just send an email to
